Terms of service
Effective October 16, 2026
These terms are a contract between you and [Company legal name, Inc.]. Please read them. By creating an account or using Rehearse, you agree to them and to our Privacy policy.
1. The Service
Rehearse provides AI-powered mock interviews, feedback, practice drills, a question bank and study plans (the "Service") to help you prepare for job interviews. The Service is offered in the United States and in English.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
- Give accurate account information and keep it up to date.
3. Plans, billing and cancellation
- The Free plan includes the credits and features shown on the pricing page. We may change the Free plan with notice.
- Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the period ends.
- If you are unhappy with your first Pro payment, ask for a refund within 14 days of it and we will refund it in full. Otherwise, payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
- We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change takes effect for your subscription.
- Usage is measured in credits, as described on the pricing page. Monthly credits reset at the start of each calendar month (UTC) and don't roll over. Purchased top-up credits don't expire while your account is open, have no cash value, aren't transferable and aren't refundable once used. Credits are lost if your account is closed.
- We may change how many credits an action costs; changes apply only to usage after we announce them.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to get help during a real interview or assessment, or to impersonate someone else in one.
- Submit content you don't have the right to share, including questions or materials you are bound to keep confidential, such as under a non-disclosure agreement.
- Upload anything unlawful, harassing, or that infringes someone else's rights, or anyone else's personal information without their permission.
- Scrape, copy or resell the question bank or other content, or use the Service to build a competing product or to train AI models.
- Reverse engineer, overload, probe or bypass the security or usage limits of the Service, or share accounts to get around plan limits.
- Attempt to make the AI interviewer produce harmful or abusive content.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you submit, such as your resume, answers, code and notes ("Your Content"). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process and display Your Content only as needed to provide and improve the Service for you, including sending it to the service providers described in our Privacy policy.
Reported questions. If you choose to submit an interview question to the shared question bank, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, edit, publish and commercialize that question, without attribution. Only submit questions you are free to share.
6. Our content and AI output
- The Service, including its software, design, and the question bank (other than questions users contribute), belongs to us or our licensors. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it.
- Questions, interviewer responses, feedback and plans are generated by AI. They can be inaccurate or incomplete. Use your own judgment.
- Company names appear only to describe the interview you are preparing for. They are trademarks of their owners. Rehearse is not affiliated with or endorsed by them, and our questions are not those companies' actual or confidential interview questions.
- We don't guarantee any interview result, job offer or outcome.
7. Feedback to us
If you send us suggestions about the Service, we may use them without any obligation to you.
8. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or if we stop offering the Service; if we stop the Service, we will refund any prepaid, unused portion of a paid plan.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, EARNINGS OR JOB OPPORTUNITIES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND US$50. SOME STATES DON'T ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, SO THEY MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
11. Indemnity
You agree to cover our reasonable costs from third-party claims arising from Your Content or your breach of these terms.
12. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State of incorporation], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. [Dispute resolution clause to be finalized with counsel.]
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here, update the effective date and, for material changes, notify you at least 30 days in advance. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
